
Maybach’s First Plug-In Hybrid Has Been Revealed
Maybach is renowned for their hand-crafted interiors, high-end materials, and exceptional performance, and that were often favored by royalty, politicians, and business leaders. Maybach revealed its first plug-in hybrid model, in the form of the S580e sedan, while announcing that its first EV will debut this year.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain is equipped with turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine producing 362 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, with a single electric motor contributing 148 hp and of torque.
The 28 kWh battery pack offers a purely electric range of up to 62 miles between charges, measured under the WLTP cycle. In EV mode, top speed is limited to 87 mph. A full charge can be completed in as low as 30 minutes.

The market launch of the Mercedes-Maybach S580e will start in China, followed by Thailand, Europe, and other markets in the future. During the official announcement, Mercedes-Maybach boss Daniel Lescow was the one to confirm that the first fully electric Maybach will follow in 2023.
