Drake Sells Beverly Hills Residence For $88 Million
Drake is making headlines after recently selling his resort-style Beverly Hills estate for $88 million. TMZ first reported the home listing. Built over several years beginning in the late 1990s, the nearly 25,000-square-foot mansion was designed by the prolific architects at KAA Design Group for GUESS co-founder Armand Marciano.
The Tuscan-style house was originally equipped with Old World-esque, Mediterranean-themed interiors, but those were renovated and replaced with newly contemporary spaces by English pop star Robbie Williams, who bought the place in 2015 for $33 million.
Last spring, Williams and his wife Ayda Field sold the giant complex to Drake for a whopping $75 million. It’s not clear what changes the rapper has made since then, but a glossy property listing website shows the house appears much as it did during Williams’ ownership, when it was frequently featured on Field’s Instagram account.
Secluded high in the hills above Benedict Canyon, at the end of a little-known cul-de-sac, the house is accessed via gates and a very long driveway. Dozens of mature olive trees and ancient oaks frame stunning canyon, city and ocean views. There’s an 11-car garage on the premises, plus a vast motorcourt with parking for dozens more.
Highlights include a double-height foyer with a grand staircase, a living room with two hulking fireplaces, wine cellar, gym, an elevator, a kitchen with dual islands and an upstairs master retreat with a private view balcony and a salon-style bathroom bigger than some houses. Naturally, there’s a staff wing and separate guesthouse.
Everything — including the acres of marble finishes and custom woodwork — is decidedly bespoke and likely cost a fortune to install. But the sprawling grounds and views steal the real estate show, and the estate features one of the biggest lawn areas in the 90210, plus a full-size tennis court, an outdoor kitchen and a “hidden” orchard, per the listing. The compound spans nearly 20 acres, although a majority of that land is rugged hillside.
