Aptera Launch Edition EV
Aperta Motors is a company to watch in the electric vehicle market. Despite only being in operation for a few years, Aperta Motors has already garnered significant attention from the automotive industry and electric vehicle enthusiasts. After three years of development, the company has announced its solar-powered EV is beginning production.
The Launch Edition is a teardrop shaped-car three-wheeled EV. The nose and roof are covered in solar cells that can generate up to 40 miles of range per day if left in direct sunlight, with a 400-mile range at full charge. Despite the focus on efficiency, the Launch Edition can run from 0-60 in under four seconds and hit a top speed of 101 MPH. Aptera is planning on producing 5,000 units of the Launch Edition with reservations now available through their website.
